Has anyone tried teh lp 50's wiring shown on singlecoil.com? Its where you shift both ends of the tone cap and move the tone pot ground. I was looking for opinions on it on how it compare to modern wriring. You need to join to search their threads, and didn't want to register, not owning a lp and all.

Oh wow, good thing I asked, that sounds like it would really mess up my guitar. "as far as the different ways one can connect the cap and 2 terminals of the tone pot, they will all sound the same." funny you should mention that, my v-pot is wired normally, but my t-pot has the cap going to both the input and middle tab, gnd is normal. Thats stock too, don't think my 0.029uf 'red T-fish' cap is tho... (I love my Hagstrom Swede)
There must have been a reason the 50's Les Pauls had them, guess for obvious reasons its not a widely used wiring option used today. Wonder if you put a 500-1k Ohm resistor on the t-pot will it stop it from rolling all the way back so the sound doesn't bottom out...
