Strange little guitar, seems its made by the Behringer company, its a Metalien but unfortunately for me NOT the one I find when searching that includes a sweet usb port! Anyways Im having two issues with this thing, - 1. The neck is straight(too straight) but not straight with body. It as a pretty substantial lean in and not from neck bowing, in fact I should release some tension on the rod clearly. But how do I re-set the neck so its not tilting in so far.
- 2. It is obviously clear as a bell on the humbucker the the singles have static. So with the 5 way slide, I get 1static 2clean 3static 4static 5clean as hell.
- 2 1/2.-ish If one wanted to just slap a single coil into anything, like lets say a childs guitar or a 2x4, what is the best or most reliable way to quite that little sucker down. For instance I just installed a single into a childs first act acoustic guitar, it sounds amazing since the body of the guitar has no ability to make clean sound the pickup changes everything, but unfortunately it suffers greatly from Buzzzz.
Thanks again to all who have helped.

I presume it's a bolt-on neck. Is there a hole in the neckplate in the middle, which would indicate an allen key adjustment for the neck tilt ? If there is, then all you need to do is first loosen the neck screws, screw in the adjuster for more tilt, and re-tighten the screws. If there's no adjuster then you'll have to remove the neck and insert some thin slivers of wood in the neck pocket - forward to reduce tilt, aft to increase it.

yeah bolt on neck 4 bolts, I was hoping I wouldnt have to shim it but I guess thats the plan then that sucker needs like a nickel shoved under it on one end and nothing on the other. Where do I get or how do I make the best possible shims. Also Ive already released the truss rod a little. And thanks for the Queiting the beast comment.
How do I quiet down a single coil for installation into an acoustic guitar?

single coils can be sheilded to help reduce hum, but they're not as 'noiseless' as some humbuckers claim. If you're looking to put a single coil in your acoustic, I assume it's for the electric guitar effect? If so, and you want it quiet, might I suggest looking into a stacked humbucker (like Duncan's STK-S4 classic stack plus). I'm not sure how this installation would be accomplished (I wouldn't want to do it to mine), but if you want it quiet, some sort of a humbucker is where you want to go. If you get a true humbucker (the classic stack is really more of a hybrid pickup), wire it in parallel to get more of the single coil sound while keeping your humbucking.

Hehe, well I did it and it sounds horrible buzzing like a saw unless you sit at a certain angle to the amp then clear as a bell. The funny part is!!!, I put it into a childs first act acoustic guitar. The dern thing sounds horrible in acoustic form since its so small but in electric form not a problem. I suppose on future ventures ill spring for a stacked. Bummer too since I have about 4 singles laying around.
