Sooty - what you are describing should be easy to do, but to check out exactly which wires to move needs some further study of the diagram.

I've been looking at the wiring links for my HSS S-1 shiny Strat and have found that even the wiring directions don't follow the pictorials in a small degree. While the drawing shows two tone caps, the wiring instructions indicate that only one is fitted. This happens. It is possible to use tone pots as tone pots, and when turned all the way up, as splitters like the Red Rhodes tone/splitter circuit.

Hmm, that's interesting. Mines pretty cool how it is. The bridge tone is actually a bridge/middle, so only the neck has no tone control. It's so good having the bridge single coil, I'm hardly using the humbucker now because the single cuts through so much better. Loving the footswitch lights too! Played a big christmas service today and all the mods were great!
