Hi all....a simple one for the pros
Got a guitar here with a humbucker in the bridge and a single coil in the neck, hooked up to a tele style 3-way (master vol, master tone). Its all hooked up and works fine.
Just wanting to know how to split the humbucker in the middle position (ie. send the red and white to ground when in the middle position)
Thats all! Thanks if you can help ;D

gunther,
With a tele-style 3-way, you should be able to wire the opposite side of the switch to ground the red/white in the middle position but soldering the ground to the common and red/white to the middle switching lug.

Looks like you should be able to wire the humbucker as pictured in that diagram, and then wire the single coil with the jumper between the two lugs on its side: I figured out how to do this with a stock rotary switch on the Squier '51, because it has the same pickup layout.... and it sounds best split in the middle. I also did it with a toggle style switch, but can't find a full size one that suits my needs.

gunther, glad to hear the ol' noggin is working (oh, and your guitar too) you can try the time-tested screwdriver tapping technique to determine which pups are on and that might make it more clear whether or not this little experiement succeeded.
