Hi everybody,
Would it cause any problems to insulate guitar shielding? In other words, glue foil to the body cavity, and then cover the foil with an insulator. (I would use a screw or some such to attach the body shielding to the circuit.)
Thanks,
Matt

I've partially done this in areas where it could contact circuitry, and it hasn't caused any problems.

matt, zam's correct, there'd be no problem at all. It's a bit more work, but if you feel the need, then go ahead. sumgai

I've had to lay some tape down in spots where the hot signal would contact the shielding (output jacks and superswitches)
