Hi. I have a Squier Esprit, modded with a push-pull pot (bridge vol) for out-of-phase, and a second push-pull pot (bridge tone) for coil-split (or is it tap?) I find that I do not use the coil-split mode at all, as I would much rather reach for my strat for single coils. I love OOP but find it a bit thin, because the humbuckers are combined in parallel by default. My questions are: 1. Can I re-wire a H-H config to be combined in series by default? (so that I can have a thicker OOP sound) Hopefully without additional switches? Can anyone point me to a wiring diaram if it is possible to do this? 2. If the above is not possible, then my guess is I would have to re-wire the coil-split push-pull switch into a series/parallel config. For this, I believe the ff. diagram would be the proper one to follow: www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=series_spl_parallel-w-phaseBut this diagram only illustrates one pickup. Is this all that is needed to put two humbuckers in series? If not, kindly provide me with a link to the proper wiring diagram as well. My apologies if my questions are redundant. I can' read schematics and most of the diagrams/configs I've been looking at on this site are over my head and quite confusing. Thank you in advance for your help/inputs. Jaime G.
