Hello- this is my first post here. I have a semi-hollow bodied guitar. the bridge pickup is a Phat Cat and sounds awesome. The neck has a Dimarzio Air Norton, which has great tone, but is accompanied by a fairly irritating buzz. Everything seems to be grounded correctly, and I know my cable is good. If I touch my amp chassis or any shielding in the cavity it goes away completely. All pickups and hardware are brand spankin new. Do I need to ground my bridge? The strings and bridge are the only things that do not currently stop this noise.

colin, Hi, and welcome to the NutzHouse! ;D I'm surprised your strings aren't grounded. They usually are, for just this reason - to reduce the noise while playing. Even though the A.N. is supposed to be humbucking, that doesn't mean that it's perfect, few HB's are........ perfectly quiet, that is. Let us know how it turns out, OK? HTH sumgai

Well don't be TOO surprised... it's a custom thinline body with a vintage style Gibson bridge. No pickguard and no routing for the bridge. Anyone know a good way to ground something like that? i140.photobucket.com/albums/r17/cdepner/frontbody.jpg
