Thanks to all who have helped me with my guitar! I almost have this thing dialed in! I have a DiMarzio Air Norton on the neck and a Phat Cat on the bridge, 3-way toggle and two volumes. For the A.N. I installed a treble bleed mod found on Seymour Duncan's site. (.002 cap and 100k resistor) What values can I use to make it bleed even more? I'm trying to get it voiced a little better with the Phat Cat and right now it's a little muddy when I roll off the volume.

Hi colin, could you post a link to where you saw that treble bleed version? I find that with 500k volume pots, a 0.001cap (ie 1nF) in parallel with a 220k resistor is about optimal, both between volume pot centre and hot lugs.
cheers
John

OK, thats wired the same way I do it, but I recommend the values suggested above. Its not obvious how it will be different since the 1nF cap will actually bleed less treble, while the 220k resistor will dull the sound less in compensation, but its worth a try - I find them to be a good balance.
The values I suggested are very commonly recommended.

John-
Your values are suggested for 500K pots but Colin nowhere mentions the values of the pots he's using. If they're 250K instead of 500K, wouldn't that make a difference?

Yes, a 250k pot iteself will roll off some treble, and it is somewhat less susceptable to further roll-off at lower volume as compared to 500k. But If some treble bleed is wanted, I think 220k and 1nF are still a good starting point. John
