Hello! I'm new to this forum. Very nice.
I'm building custom bass, but I'd like to make also custom electronics. I have two single coil Fender Jazz Bass SNC pickups (best from fender).I'd be interested in following specifications: 1 X Master Volume ( Active & Passive ) 1 X Pickup Blend ( Active & Passive )
1 X Treble ( Active ) 1 X Mid ( Active ) 1 X Bass ( Active )
1 X High end cut (Passive)
1 X Active/Passive switch
I know it's pretty much, but is it possible? And maybe some one can help me with this one?

Master-
Hello! And Welcome-
To answer your question, "is this possible?" -- Yes.
But you want 5 pots on this thing, so you need to consider not only the wiring, but how it's all going to fit in whatever you're building- you didn't say what your custom bass is going to look like, but it had better have a big control cavity to fit all this in.
You'll probably be forced by space limits to use concentric pots and/or push/pull switched pots. For example, you could use a push/pull pot for your master vol, and use the switch for the active/passive switch. One concentric pot could handle the tone controls (except the midrange).
You may want to consider if you really need the 3-way onboard EQ. That feature alone adds considerable complexity to your scheme and you can always use your amp's EQ section. Even eliminating the midrange would make the project a lot simpler.

Thanks for your reply. It looks like it will be pretty complicated. I'll tell full story of it... I own Victor Bailey 5-string Jazz Bass. It's Active bass, with great active pups, but I want also passive circle. So I wanted to make new electronics to get what I need. There is done some upgrades, thats why I call it "custom bass". Maybe there is some way how I can add passive circle to my current active. Here is image of my bass. You can see that there is no plastic plate. The space for electronics is very big. Maybe I can add passive circle, and put this push/pull on Volume knob... Here is wiring diagram: www.fender.com/support/diagrams/pdf_temp1/basses/0196800A/SD0196800APg2.pdfAnd controller explanation: www.fender.com/support/diagrams/pdf_temp1/basses/0196800A/SD0196800APg4.pdfWhat do you think is it possible to add passive circle? One more questions... It's hum free pickups, but they hum while I don't hold strings what it could mean? TNX P.S. Sorry for my bad English - it's not my mother language.

Master-
No apology necessary, your english is fine.
Your first post made it sound like you were changing the pickups, but I see from the pictures that most of what you want is already in the guitar. You're hoping to keep the active pickups, but run a separate circuit bypassing the preamp, am I correct on that?
If that's what you want to do, someone else with more experience with active circuitry is going to have to chime in on this topic- I'm not sure if that's feasible. I believe that active pickups are wound so as to work better with the active preamp, they may not be well suited to being used passively.
