I've already done my obligitory Google search for 2 minutes and I couldn't come up with anything so here's my question: what value pot should I use for a single pickup custom custom sd?

z,
Were you being satirical with that "obligatory 2 minute google search" comment, or were you pretty serious?

I really did do some searching, I know I'd seen some reference to it somewhere, but I was kinda in a hurry to get something working since all my guitars are in various stages of construction. No dissin' intented. I've been on plenty of forums and I'm pretty familiar with standard etiquette.

Dan, OK, apology taken as you intended. But next time you use a bit of satire like that, try to remember to insert the 'wink' smiley afterwards, so we don't have folks gettin' upset over 'these impatient upstarts'. ;D My personal advice on this: Don't get in a hurry! When a machine (and by extension, anything ever made by a machine) learns that you are in a hurry, they all gang up to cause you grief. Afterall, the all belong to the same union! Unless you are a professional on a deadline, then it just doesn't pay to move quicker than a snail's pace. Witness ♭eric's Bass builds - he doesn't whip them out overnight! HTH sumgai
