i am wiring up a jackson dinky dk2m: a really sweet guitar with two humbuckers, one volume, one tone, and one three way. one of my pickups is an sh-13(dimebucker) with four conductor wiring and the other is an sh-1n(59 model) with single conductor wiring. (i am pretty sure they are the pickups dimebag used). anyway, is there a way to wire them with the two different types of wiring? please help!

Sure. You'll find many diagrams on the Duncan website. www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=2h_1v_3wThe black is the hot lead and comparable to the single conductor. The green is the signal return and, along with the bare shield wire, comparable to the single conductor's shield. You have to make the red/white connection as well (insulate it). At one time, most pickups were single conductor with shield. (A single conductor is an antenna, of no use here. ) Then someone had the idea of bringing the tap point between the two coils in a humbucker out as well. And then, someone decided to bring both wires from both coils out separately. That's the four-wire way where you have said four wires plus a shield. Your four-wire pickup and your single conductor with shield pickup are identical internally, the former just has more wiring flexibility (with flexibility comes responsibility - you're responsible to wire the four leads). If you look here, Pickup Wire Colors and Polarity, You'll see the color code for many four wire pickups.
