I took out my MIM pups and sold them to some suck...er, nice fella in France. I told him they were sub-par and weak as hell...he did not care and bought them anyway. It seems that not only are the french cowards, but they are tone deaf as well!

Now, now... I sold a MIM Strat body to a fella in France. I had to jump through hoops because he wanted special shipping & whatnot - plus he asked me to commit a crime and lie about the value on the customs form (which I most certainly did not)...
But he paid me in U.S. $$$ - So he couldn't be all that bad.

shovel- I have a north polarity MIM Strat PUP, but one end of the wrap is sprung from the lead. You'd have to try to resolder it to the lead, which is pretty frickin' hard, cause I tried and failed. Let me know if you're interested. I don't know how handy you are with a soldering iron. You might could do it.

Unk- Well, I been just about a lotta places- born in Maine, lived in New York, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Ohio, and mostly Missouri (Kansas City, St Louis, Columbia) Never stay one place very long. Kinda gettin tired of movin', tho. I guess I do tend to use a lot of idiomatic language. American English is a beautiful thing. Very adaptable, poetic.... Did you know that the American accent is primarily derived from the Appalachian accent? I watched a PBS show called "Do You Speak American", where they explored American dialects. We have a lot of regional dialects, but the dominant influence comes from East of the Mississippi, south of the Ohio River Valley- Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee....
Hey, I think I mighta been round your way once or twice... That hardplace'll kill ya'! Nice folks there, all the same.

Just a note, Shovel, if you buy the pup from SlimChance and give it a go, you're going to want to wax-pot the pickups as well. With one end sprung and the wire loose on the bobbin, attemping to resolder it and leave it will give you more slack than it was wound with, just asking for microphonic feedback.
