I just watched a video of Seymour Duncan installing new pups...He mentions wiring in series or parallel. What in a nutshell does that mean? [glow=red,2,300]* Bracing for nutshell jokes*[/glow]

I just watched a video of Seymour Duncan installing new pups...He mentions wiring in series or parallel. What in a nutshell does that mean? You can wire two or more pickups in series or parallel with each other, and you can even wire the two coils of a humbucker in series or parallel, for different tone. Two pages that explain it very well: and www.1728.com/guitar.htm. Peanut shells are easy to open, but they tend to shred. Walnut shells are harder to crack, but if opened carefully, can be glued back together with the requested information inside. (If you hadn't said anything about nutshell jokes, I'd have let it slide, but . . . ;D )
