Posted this yesterday in coffee shop, this is proabably a better place for it. I bought my kid an unknown guitar that looks like a headless Steinberger copy. I bought it because he always wants to borrow my Erlewine lazer and I am afraid he will damage it. I am an old fart and want to make it "hot" for him. What type of pickups would you guys recommend? Here is a link if you think body size and style would affect the best choice of pickups. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=018&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=280032660693&rd=1&rd =1

it really depends on the kind of sound youre looking for. every pup sounds different. i have a steiny and they usually come stock w/ active EMGs. however, the guitar in the picture via your link does not have active pups. i know EMG makes one or two models of passive pups that you should be able to drop into it. Also, you can use EMG Selects(offbrand, kinda like epi is to gibson), they dont sound quite as good, but they would work fine.
