i have a squire pbass,i was thinking of buying some fender pbass pickups 4 it,i want a much wormer pretty sound,sometimes i want a non treably sound(stingray ) got anything in mind?

....doing on a board like this? ;D Try the Seymour Duncan SPB-1, -2, or -3. www.seymourduncan.com/compareTones/matrix.aspIf you want a warmer tone with less treble, just use yer tone control, it's cheaper than a boutique pickup! A different tone control capacitor as well as a new capacitor directly across the pickup (or volume control) can "warm it up" (?down) by lowering the AC resonant peak.

I've got a Fender JP 90, I've never really loved the P Bass pup alone except for a few songs (and even then, it's with the tone control almost all the way down, so I kinda know what you mean), it does make an excellent deep blend with the J pup though. The J pup is my main pickup on that bass. I've played a few of the squires, and the pups do seem not far off compared to stock Fender pickups. I'd go with Chris's suggestion before putting in other pickups, you might be surprised.
