hey there!
Yes I'm new here...sorry to be a pain on the first post but:
I am repairing a seymour duncan vintage stack telecaster neck pickup. I had to remove the coils due to damage so I need to rewind (obviously). My question is this: Does it matter which direction I wind the coils in? There are 6 separate pole pieces in this pickup...there is no "bar" magnet like in other pickups I have worked with.
Also...do I absolutely HAVE to wax pot the pickup...or will it most likely be fine without potting? I don't have access to something to do wax potting so I dunno if there is some other easy home remedy to potting some other way?
Thanks a ton for any help in advance! Sorry to bug people but I really found no other resouce for pickup winding info that was usefull for me. If anyone needs help with effect pedals...feel free to hit me up...I CAN probably help you with that!
