These are low impedance pickups that work well together, but not well with traditional passive pickups. The Alumitones are a prime example, they are single turn primary pickups driving a step-up transformer. I think that the Alumitones are wide range pickups, but are a tad too sterile for me. Do a search here on alumitones, you'll see what I've posted. Also, check out www.harmonycentral.com

Yes, they don't match well as Chris pointed out above, Lace says the same on their website.
