Well, my father-in-law is getting a new guitar, a late 1970's Fender Strat. A friend of the family bought it for about $250 from somewhere. It's in great shape, plays nice, sounds nice. I told the guy I will buy it if he's willing to sell it or when he's ready OR I'll trade him my bass for it. Well, I sold the bass last month in a garage sale. This is where the G.A.S. burst. A little over a week ago, we're up at my father-in-law's place jamming and having some cold one's. He says to me "Darrell called me asking if you still had your bass." DAMMIT!!!! Then he says "He's selling me his Strat for $150." GUHHHHH!!!!! NOOOOO!!!! Granted, I'm happy that he's getting it because I know it will be taken care of (since he'll have me help out) and I'll be able to play it anyway, but still. Now he needs an amp, and I'll be taking him around looking at those. ;D Once he gets it I'm going to double check the serial number to verify the year. I'm pretty sure it's a late '70's though.

Well, my memory is fading. Turns out it is a large headstock Squier. It says Fender on the headstock but the decal is peeling so can't see the serial number anymore but I'm pretty sure it's by Squier. The logo is the fat silver one, not the classic spaghetti logo they went back to. Still, the sucker sounds and plays great. Even better since I set it up.
