What's up! I'm in the process of putting a little bedroom combo together, (Valve jr. head, 10" Blue pup) I've tried to order some Tolex and grill-cloth from ampwares.com but am having trouble with their web validation....does anyone know of another source for high quality material. I do my own wood work, I really just need the look pretty stuff. The vendor doesn't have to be on the web. Thanks, B

Hmmmmm...
I've just seen the Epi Valve Special (the 5 watt single-ended version with the tone stack) for $150.
I was going to modify the Valve Jr. combo that I have for a tone stack. I paid $100 fer the Junior (a real good deal at the time), but for $150 I'd just buy the better one. It'll take more than that in parts and my time to upgrade the Junior.....
And the cabinet has the tolex and grill cloth included. I kind of like the Epi Valve speakers, I don't know who makes them for the Valve series, but Eminence in Kentucky makes the "Lady Luck" ones in the Epi Blues Custom.
While I like (and have) high-end tube amps, I really like these Valves.

Hi Chris, I agree, the little combo from epiphone is a good deal. However, I already have the little Jr. and speaker. Also the box is already done. I got mine thru internet for $95. A good price. I have used this one with an old Polyphonic 12" box and it sounds great. I'm going to investigate some local upholstry shops for material. Thanks for your input. Bill
I too enjoy the "no frills" approach of these little amps. "One knob, one choice."

Well, one of my favorite amps is my Mesa Mark IV, so I'm quite "knobular" normally.
