Since the Epi Valve Jr. and the Crate Powerblock are selling for $99, I am considering picking them both up. The problem is that I don't have a cab to run them through. I do, however, have a Fender Frontman 15G and an Atomic Reactor 112 that I would consider modding to become optional speaker cabs.
I am not a modder per se but I've done enough wiring/soldering to feel like this shouldn't be too hard to accomplish. I was thinking a jack and a two way toggle switch inline with the speaker wires would do the trick. What else would be neccessary to prevent equipment damage and an unexpected trip to the funeral home?
The owner of Atomic said such a mod would work if done properly. He told me in an email to call him to discuss it further but he now has two new lines of amps out and is very busy. You guys are my next best bet. Has anyone here done such a mod? Anyone care to share any ideas?
