cemetery gates.. the main riff. It's all fretted and the harmonic is done with the thumb and pick with the picking hand. I just dont know what the termonology is. So when i show people, i don't want to use my own words for this and confuse them more.

j, You'll also sometimes see it called an 'artificial harmonic'. Technically speaking, it's a natural harmonic, all subdivisions of a fundamental frequencies are harmonically related. But in this case, you dampen the string with your thumb before some of those harmonics have time to build in volume level. This creates a new harmonic relationship that you can easily hear, which sounds a lot like a second or third overtone harmonic (natural harmonics found at the first and second octave points). Like 'pinching', 'artificial' isn't really a good name for what's happening, but either one will convey your meaning well enough. HTH sumgai

Well, sometimes its referred to as a Squeelie, I Think thats accurate But pinch harmonic sounds so much more cooler
