This is my newest and first creation. It is made of maple and has a satin finish. 3 lace sensor pickups(light blue, gold and burgandy) with indivdual on off switches and an overall series parallel switch. I am using a neck off and old squire right now(thats why it doesnt really match) untill i have more time to try a neck out. i will probably do that in the summer. There are still a few hardware parts i need to aquire also but i may not get them for a while. Overall i am rather proud of it. Its really cool to watch a big piece of wood turn into something completely yours. please tell me what you think! -Blake

hey Blake,
it looks like you created a problem when you changed from a web-page link to an img string in your post.
the link is incomplete.

it's the weirdest thing. if i type: http://bjgriffin4.tripod.com/newg2.JPG into the address line in my browser, and click on "go", i see the image. but if i follow this link: bjgriffin4.tripod.com/newg2.JPG i get: and the address line reads: http://bjgriffin4.tripod.com/adm/interstitial/remote.jpg

Tripod, Angelfire, and a few others get cranky when you image link them. They consider it to be cheating them if you see the pic from their site, but not all the ads they throw in with it. =D

bjg That is beautiful. Did you start with just a plain maple board or did you buy an unfinished guitar body? Either way, that is some great wood working you did there. (especially if you made that from scratch). Good color choice for the pickguard, pickups and particularly the bridge.
Just curious as to the wiring circuit you may have used.

Wow, then you put a lot of work into that guitar - not just the woodworking but the electronics too. From what I can see, that circuit requires 3 DPDT swiches and 1 4PDT switch. That's a lot of soldering but it seems your work has paid off.

Thats a great piece of work. And I'm sure glad that wiring diagram worked! Whats your favorite sound on it?

Thanks again you guys.
I had some trouble in the beginning with the wiring but it turns out i had put a litttle too much heat on the volume pot and it was not making a good connection. However of all of the new switching combinations open to me, i like the neck and bridge in parallel and th neck middle in series. The extra punch that series seems to give to the sound is really cool and i like being able to switch between them so easily.
