I thought I'd share this project of mine. Simple compared to some I've seen on here. I found this red Lotus tele copy at a garage sale for $50. The pickups are from a Gibson LP Studio, the paint was a mistake gone good(?). The action was pretty good when I first got it, I tweaked the neck a little, and it plays as goo as my high priced guitars. And sounds great too. Later...............weedman

Thanks Jeremy. The birds are paper, that I printed off the computer. The pickguard is made of plexiglass. The under side of the pickguard is flecked with red and silver paint. My wife calls it flecking, I learned the technique from her. Just put a little paint on an old toothbrush, and let the bristles flip the paint on it. It kind of gives it a 3 dimensional effect, and lets the birds show through in a subtle manner.
