Hi all, I'm new to the forum but i've just completed my T-riffic telecaster mod from guitarnuts.com. Man is it a sweet mod for tele. Took a bit of doing as I'm not a soldering expert. I guess it took about five hours? Had a couple of misteps along the way. (I got my main ground mixed up with the ground from the neck pick-up, for one.) This guitar is a black squire standard series Telecaster with mirrored pickguard. Cheap enough that I risked modifying it. Sure looks like a mess but it works! That orange blob just below the bridge is a reflected lamp on the ceiling. I used telephone wire for the connections and it was much easier than regular guitar wire. But it sure sound sweet. The out of phase is awesome and the series option is really twangy! Luke

luke4wf - nice job, and welcome to guitarnuts! Around here we thrive on the smell of solder smoke, and I'm sure you'll be itching for another mod soon - don't be a stranger!

Thanks! I not sure what mods I'll do next. I'll probably shield it. I like the pickups just fine for now but it hums like a hive o' bees when I'm at my guitar lesson. But there isn't a bit of hum at home on my set up. Probably my teachers old and busted cables. Or maybe it's because I play on a bass amp.
Anyhow thanks for the welcome!
