I finished this a while back. Warmoth parts - Gecko 5-string bass. Walnut on alder body, finished with tru-oil, birds eye maple neck, ebony fretboard, seymour duncan basslines active pickups and jazz bass-wiring. Deep, fruity sound, love it to death

Flateric-
That's truly a gorgeous bass. I assume the red LED is "power on" for the active electronics?
And I've heard wine described as being "fruity", but never a sound. I'm having trouble conjuring up an aural image of that. But it looks like you've got yourself a player there!

Thank you Newey, it is a lovely piece of walnut that you just want to stroke gently before slapping it with some heavy funk. The sound has a sort of sproing-y depth to it, fulll of rich harmonics, like the well struck bass strings of a fine grand piano. The led is simply a power-on check to make sure the active pup battery is ok. There was a spare hole to fill as I wanted to go for stock JB controls, so the LED filled the 4th pot hole nicely.

Wow, that looks like a fine quality piece of workmanship. Puts even the instruments I ASPIRE to build look laughable!
