Hi Everyone,...as a new member, i'd like to share wiring that i did ( modified ) that suits me and works for me.
i have a total modified 1982 Fender Bullet with 4 mag pickups. 2 humbuckers and 2 single coil ( actualy one
is still humbucker in a single size ). it's like musicman steve morse model.
i divide the switching into two modes : the humbucker mode and the single coil mode. i do not split the coils
in humbucker so the single coil term here is true a single coil size, not derived from splitting humbucker.
in switching humbuckers, there's a 5 way superswitch . i use "5 tone tele" rothstein's diagram.
and it's almost similar to T-riffic wiring from John Atchley.
pos 1 : Neck Humbucker
pos 2 : Neck Humbucker in series with Bridge Humbucker
pos 3 : Neck Humbucker paralel with Bridge Humbucker
pos 4 : Neck Humbucker in series with Bridge Humbucker out of phase
pos 5 : Bridge Humbucker
in single coil mode there's a 2 way ( 4PDT ) toggle. it's obvious to switch only neck single coil and bridge single coil.
but there's a DPDT on-on to switch the single coils in series.
then the humbucker selector (superswitch) and single coil selector ( 2 way 4PDT) go to 3 way Les paul
type toggle, so u can have paralel combination between humbucker and single coil mode.
the humbucker series switch is an on-on-on DPDT. at center position, it's normal in superswitch.
up position connects the the neck humbucker in series with neck single coil or bridge single coil using
"W" switch. If the toggle selects the bridge single ( neck hum series with bridge single ) you
can add them in series with neck single using "Z" switch ( so 4 pickups in series if superswitch at position 2 )
down position works the same for bridge humbucker.
really lots of combination...
