Sebster, Looks nice. However, there is a shortcoming......... In order for the global series mode to work, both pickups must be turned on. In your layout, you must first turn on both pups, then switch S5 to series, or else you get no output (until you've turned on both S3 and S6). That might not be what you intended (you as a player, not you as a circuit designer) - sudden and unintentional periods of dead output are disconcerting for many listeners as well as players. Insidiously, the same thing applies to your Bridge tap circuit - S2 must be turned on first, or else flipping S1 from parallel to series will cut off all output from the pickup. While this idea could be used as an ersatz "kill" switch, you have several potential dead-spots. According to Mr. Murphy (our patron saint here in the NutzHouse), you will activate at least one of those dead-spots more than once in any given performance, and it won't be when you intended for that moment of silence. The cure for this is what we call "shunting". Check back in the archives of this sub-forum, you'll find quite a few schematics that show multi-pole switches performing that function. Not only does this avoid the dead-spot problem, it also opens up other possibilities as well. HTH sumgai

Thank you for pointing that out, although I did realize that after I posted and didn't have time to edit the post(and couldn't work out another way to wire it while maintaining the series/parallel switches).

I have updated the first post with the new version of the "HumTronix Mod" it includes the shunting technique which we can thank sumgai for showing it to me.

Seb, Your latest version works out to deliver just what you wanted. ;D The only "dead" spot is when both pickups are off, and I don't think anyone can argue with that - off is meant to be off, and all that jazz. Moreover, with both pickups shunted, the amplfier input is grounded, thus reducing the chances of hum or buzz from the speaker. That's the proper way to do it. +1 for offering up an easy circuit that gives a lot of tone variations. ;D sumgai
