I will check the Ohms next time I have the strings off, but I doubt it will be a problem. CYF, You don't need the strings off, just do a little scan through the nostrils, per ChrisK's excellent tutorial. You cannot measure the continuity of the shielding with that method, but keep the link above in your back pocket as a useful tool. Sorry if I caused any confusion.

So, the shielding is not elementary Master Ohms, but it's BLEEPIN' good anyway?
(Most of the BLEEPIN' Ohm meters work this way. For continuity testing, one doesn't want to take one's eyes off the equipment, but for Ohms, one must.)
