Well I need some help from the experts...
I have a 99 or 2000 model american standard and I don't get any sound from the middle pickup. Bridge and neck work fine. So I ordered a loaded pickguard setup like a fat strat. After soldering it in I still dont get sound from the middle pickup. Neck and humbuck work fine.I am baffled. ANY suggestions? Thank you.

hairy one, Hi, and welcome to the NutzHouse! ;D You say that a brand-new, pre-built (and presumably, pre-tested), unit doesn't work, right out of the box? Can I assume that there's some kind of warranty on this puppy? Unless you had to do more than wire up the output jack, then first thing tomorrow morning, you should be on the blower to whomever sold you that pre-crapped-out unit. As for your original problem, what's the status of the old parts? Still intact, just sitting on a bench, or are they now in the dumpster? sumgai

well i figured it out....Both middle pickups were bad. Even the loaded pickguard middle p/u was bad. I had a extra single coil from a Squier that I threw in the mix.I put the original pickguard back in with the Squier... All is working now. THanks.
