This is belated, I know, but that looks like some FINE handiwork there.

got the burst done yesterday. was going to do the clear today only my spray gun is leaking out of every orifice so im going to have to get a new one. i went a bit black happy on the neck, but ah well. also, theres not the huge difference in brightness of the neck and back as there looks to be in the pic either

hoog, Very nice! I've taken the " th_" out from the image address (it causes little thumbnails, instead of the larger size picture your good work deserves). DD

hooglebug,
Very impressive. Are those a set of Trisonics I see resting on the body? I just finished dropping a set of those into my Squire.

Mine are Kent Armstrong too. I stalked them on the web for 2 yrs...then finally pulled the trigger (got a set of 3 for $165)...then I waited 2 more years. They're finally in their temporary home - my Indonesian Squire with standard strat wiring. In another 2-4 yrs, I'll move them to their final home, which is an early 80s Guild S60-D (1 piece mahogony - set neck, 24 frets, really nice) that I'm refinishing (I'm waiting for all the finish to just fall off by itself). I'm planning on wiring it like the Red Special, or something close.
What type of wiring are you thinking of?

finally got around to finishing this one. have been doing a red glittery thing for someone. anyway! this one sounds really nice and smooth and johns circuit design is great - lots of sounds while not being all complicated.
