Here's an issue that has come up on another forum: there are owners of f-hole archtop electrics who want the flexibility to swap out pickups from time to time. As I have experienced, the task of dismantling and rewiring such a guitar through its treble-side f-hole is time consuming and takes time away from more profitable pursuits, such as chunking rocks into the pond.
It's possible to attach 2-conductor modular connectors to the leads of a typical humbucker (without coil taps etc), and to the internal wiring inside the pickup cavities so that pickup changing becomes a much easier job.
That is, if one can find the 2-conductor connectors! They appear on recent Korean-made Epiphone Sheraton IIs, but no one knows the source.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

lp, Molex makes many, many different kinds of connectors. The rectangular jobbies can be found in sizes ranging from a ¼" across to more than an inch across, and with pin layouts ranging from 2 to 24. Try Digikey or Mouser to start, but better bring a lunchbox, because there are a lot of them to sort through! The chances are good that you'll find what you want, if you're patient. However, for a subset of Molex connectors that will probably do what you want, I'd try Vetco Surplus first. Click on the left-side menu for connectors, then Molex. I live right up the street from them....... if shipping is more than you wanna spend, let me know, and I'll buy them for you, them mail them to ya the cheap way. ;D HTH sumgai

Many thanks. I'll let the guys at the Epi forum know...I'm monogamous when it comes to replacement pickups. Especially (and you'll appreciate this reason) considering that I've finally got my Sheraton II finished and wired and working.
