hi, i bought a pickguard from store.guitarfetish.com/bl3supiwikit.html instead for having the traditional 5 way switch it have 3 holes for mini DPDT on-off-on switches, the wiring that followed with the setup was kind of boring, so i wondered if any of you had a god idea for a wiring for my strat, i have a ssh setup

Jealei- Hello and Welcome! There are many options for such a scheme. GF's ad copy suggested that they supply 3 different wiring schemes along with the parts. What was it about these schemes that you didn't like? There are several HSS schemes on our schematics page, however, most that I just browsed retained the std 5-way switch and added toggles for more functionality. If you can give us a better idea of what you want, we'll get on the job here . . .

hi, the wiring that followed was phase on/off with standar 2 tone control and one volume, and 3 volume, and then it was a wiring for a 3 humbucker start, i wired the start so that the neck and middle pickup goes phase in - off - phase out, and the brigde humbucker goes full - off singel coil, and frankly i dont find the phase out sound very usefull because it is to thin, i not really sure about what souds am after, im new at this, so im not very familiar with the different sounds you can get by modding, i hoped some of you could come with a suggestion, i'm willing to change some of the on - off - on switches to on-on-on, and putt in push/pull - push/push switches if nessecary

Welcome, Jean Guys ... call me crazy, but I never did manage to completely dispel the urthman mod as a possibility. Seriously ... please ... someone just call me crazy and let's walk away. Chris, John ... with all these switches, are there enough pieces here to try it? Really ... just strike me down so we can all move on. D2o

D2o-
OK, you're crazy . . .
Not for suggesting the Urthman mod, but because the purpose of that was a claimed noise reduction benefit. Jealei is asking about switching options, and if he has noise issues he hasn't mentioned them.
Jealei-
OK, we've established that you don't care for the out of phase sounds. That's easily undoable. Apart from that, you're open to sugggestion, including other switching and/or pots.
Actually, you might like the out-of-phase sound a bit more if it were the neck and bridge rather than neck and middle. OOP works better the further the pickups are apart.
You might also consider an arrangement to get the bridge coils in parallel, in addition to the series arrangement I'm assuming you now have in the "both" position. The neck and middle pups could also be put in series, giving you a really big neck HB.
Point us in the general direction you want to go, and we'll all troop along. And someone will probably even have a diagram for you to follow!

For a 3-pup toggle-ised scheme, and without wanting out of phase, you could drill one more hole, then have an on/off for each pup (DPDT) and an overall series/parallel switch (needs a 4PDT). That would gve you any combo of pups in either series or parallel, or a kill switch setting with all off
I know a good way to do it too, based on the Tonemonster2 in the schematics section. Then if you wish, coil cut on the Hb and neck phase reversal on push-pulls to complete the madness.

Yeah ... my thought was just that it might be a freebie while he was in there, and while we know it does not adversely affect anything, I never did incorporate the 4PDT to know if it can work as advertised. I just wondered if the three switches might also allow that mod to be similarly thrown into the mix. But newey ... I don't care what the basis of your confirmation of my insanity is - I just thank you for it! D2o

Another thought, would be the classic 'Dan Armstrong' mod: users.adelphia.net/~cygnusx_1/armstrong_jpeg.htmlIt gets all in-phase series or parallel combos from three pups, using just three DPDT's, one of which is on-on-on Coil cut and phase could be added John
