I just need a quick wiring diagram. I'm surprised someone hasn't posted one of these in the schematics section.
A customer wants his 5 way to give him these choices:
1= n 2= n+m 3= n+b 4= b+m 5= b
The only difference from a stock 5 way wiring is the middle position being a combination of the neck and bridge. I think I might have to use a superswitch and that's fine with me. If someone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome.
It can't be done with a standard 5-way.
Is it standard strat 1V 2T?
You gonna share the comission?
Edit - no it can't, fixed!

I was pretty sure it couldn't be done with any of the standard 5 ways.
It's not a standard strat (1v 2t) It's easiest to think of it as three singles going to a single volume.
What it actually has in it is a nightmare. Humbucker sustainer in the neck, Seymour single in the middle, Joe Barden hum in the bridge, Graphtech piezos in the saddles, a coil tap for the Sustainer and Barden and seperate outputs for the piezos and magnetics.
I would love a diagram for three singles and a 5 way with the switching options:
1= n 2= n+m 3= n+b 4= b+m 5= b
I would love to share the commission but I've used it all up in the time it took me to make everything else work. It works fine the way it is with the fraditonal 5 way selecting but he just thought of making it have the other switching option. I told him I'd give it a shot but my electronical mind is shot right now so I can't even imagine figuring out the super switch wiring.

Would you take series wiring for the middle position? If so there's a diagram on the main site for that with a standard switch. If not you'll need a superswitch

I think, for what the customer is going for, it would be too hot.

How about a little text art? Bo o---o---o o o o o o o o o not used ! ____________________________________________out ! ! ! ! No o o o---o---o o o o o o oM
OK, bad idea, that was very fiddly to draw, but the switch wiring is OK. All pup grounds go to ground as usual. Three out of four poles of a superswitch are used as above, with one pole each for N, M, and B hots as shown. cheers John

Actually, you only need two poles of a super switch (the semi-super switch).
Both pole commons go to OUT
Pole 1 1. N 2. N 3. N 4. M 5.
Pole 1 1. 2. M 3. B 4. B 5. B

Right on! Thanks guys. This isn't my first time here getting saved by you all. Oh, and I have had a link to this site and the original site for quite awhile now. I'm not here a lot, but I do appreciate and spread the word! Here both are on my links page in the lefthand column: www.hembryguitars.com/links.htm

Now you have two ways to wire up the superswitch, and Chris’ is more minimalist. I would suggest not admitting to your client that half the switch is unused however. Otherwise he’ll ask for additional satellite navigation with pup-up toaster!

I love Chris's minimalist solution. I like as clean a control cavity as possible and this one is a nightmare already with the two cicuit boards and all of the wiring that comes with them. I apologize if the pic I posted was too racy. I wasn't sure if it would fly. Here is a more appropriate one: Again, sorry about that.

Nice looking guitar! And no chance of "buckle rash" with all the extra rear routing! ;D

You are all "minimally" missing my point! Unless you have a super switch and don't want to buy the MegaSwitch "E", The "E" Model Megaswitch .....and the technical info therefor.IS the minimalist solution. (And, the Schaller MegaSwitch mechanism has the best mechanical design and feel of ANY lever switch ever developed.) It just might not have a Tele top hat tip for it.

Oh geez. I'm a spaz. I totally forgot I bought a fistfull of these 5 ways from AllParts a while ago. Part# EP 0479-000. They are basically half of a SuperSwitch. They are pretty cool and work perfectly for what I wanted it to do and Chis's diagram will work perfectly. Again, thank you. Here's a link to the switch: www.allparts.com/store/electronics-switches-ep-0479-000,Product.asp
