Hi guys! I just found this board via the guitar nuts website, and I am really pleased that I did! There is quite a wealth of information here! But enough of that, here's what I've got: I am attempting to mod a beat up old Aria Pro Fullerton that I've had laying around since high school to emulate the Billy Corgan signature Strat pickup setup as close as I can. I'm not too sure of the electric principles with all this stuff, but I took a shot at it from references on the internet. I'll attach a link to a pdf of my attempt at the bottom of this post. My questions: 1) Will the switching work properly for the selected pickups? The selection should go as follows: Neck full humbucking, Neck inner coil plus Middle full humbucking, Middle full humbucking, Middle full humbucking plus Bridge inner coil, Bridge full humbucking. 2) Do the tone controls look right? My worry is that I might have the relationship of the RC filter backwards. 3) I believe that this can't be done with the standard 5 way, 2 pole switch...am I right? Thanks in advance, folks! A series RC tone control is a two terminal network, the order of the components does not matter. However, your tone pots are wired backwards (the terminals used DO matter). Use the other (left side in your drawing) end terminal and the wiper. You have a tone control across the neck and bridge pickups, you can wire those directly across the respective pickups at the selector switch. 'Cuz then, this diagram with a standard Fender 3/5-way lever switch will work. Just wire the middle humbucker in two wire mode (as you are doing now). Move the middle tone control wire from the middle pickup hot lead to the bridge pickup hot lead (on the 3/5-way switch) and you're done. These are Seymour Duncan wire colors (it's a Seymour Duncan drawing after all), you'll have to translate for DiMarzio. Pickup Wire Colors and Polarity

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I had come across the SD website, and I had thought to search for an HSH combo, but those thoughts did not occur at the same time.
Thanks again!

I definitely will. This is my first real foray into modifying guitars, and I really enjoy the challenge. You'll see me around
