I've been looking around for a good while trying to find a good pickup to suit my stylistic preferences, and I've settled on Fender's Custom Shop Texas singles. I have an American Standard Strat with no mods done to it. I was wondering if I would need to change pots/caps in order to get a good sound out of it. I'll probably be setting the pickups fairly low, if that helps. Thanks in advance!

OK, I got them installed, did it myself I'm proud to say They sound amazing! I'm just wondering what the ideal height for them would be. From what I've heard, higher height (ha) makes for better sustain, but lower height really brings out your picking dynamics. Last night, after I put them in, I set the neck just a bit higher than flush with the pick-g. at the low E and about 1/4" higher on the high E. From there, I kinda stair-stepped it with the middle/bridge. I'm happy to say that the bridge and middle pickups definitely exceed my expectations (coming from the Noiseless set in most American Standards) and the neck is pretty much the same (with a bit more sparkle and punch), maybe it's how I set it.
Anyways, enough gear rambling, what would you guys recommend for heights?
