Can someone draw up a wiring diagram for my Charvel Model 6 project? I'm not sure the best way to wire this out. The main thing I want to do is be able to reverse phase the humbucker. I'm not using the mid boost thing that comes with it. Thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the board facefirst. If you are planning on wiring a phase switch to the humbucker, what does the humbucker look like? Is it one of those chrome-covered "bricks" that can never be taken apart? If that is the case you have 2 choices: 1) forget about doing that because when phase is reversed that chrome cover that was once the 'ground' side has now become the 'hot' side of the guitar circuit. 2) Consider wiring a phase switch to the 2 single coils. This would not be as easy as wiring it to the humbucker but would be much more useful. By the way, does the humbucker have 4 wires coming out of it? If not, can the humbucker cover be easily removed? If so, this opens up a lot of wiring possibilities.

FaceFirst - Greetings and welcome to the forum. Your post is a bit minimal and vague. From your image it appears the original pickups have gone AWOL...can't tell one way or the other on the electronics. Are you using the original pickups and electronics, or aftermarket? And if aftermarket, specifically what are you planning to use? The Model 6, as I recall, had Jackson's version of active electronics on-board. There isn't a wealth of information on these guitars on-line, but if you're looking to go original you might try posting on www.jcfonline.com/. They're one of the better resources for Jackson\Charvel, and if you go to the Tech Forums you should be able to post a request and get a favorable response back. I'm not the electronics guru around here, but I can tell you that the more specific you make your question the more complete and helpful answer you will receive. Happy Trails Cynical One

If so, this opens up a lot of wiring possibilities. I'm wiring 2 Jackson single coils and a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates. I have normal tone pots and volume pots. I have 3 DPDT mini switches. I want to wire it up like a normal Model 6 (sans midboost circuit) and have the SD Pearly Gates be reversed phase via a push/pull pot. So it would be as follows: Volume knob for neck/middle Volume knob for bridge Global tone knob (push/pull to reverse phase humbucker) 3 DPDT switches for on/off of each pickup.

Okay, I made this graphic: You mentioned you have 3 DPDT switches. Actually, for pickup switching, you only need SPST switches. Also, I didn't draw the phase switch in this diagram, mainly because you are doing a complete rewiring and so I think we should approach this one step at a time. Among other things, I'm not sure if I drew this diagram accurately. If any other folks find any mistakes, please let me know.
