this mod rewires a jaguar's 3 lower switches (lead circuit) so that the pickup selectors switch each pickup between parallel and series, and the strangler becomes a phase switch for the bridge pickup (optional, i vastly prefer over the strangler). note you will need to desolder your bridge pup's ground wire and run it up into this compartment, along with a separate wire to ground. the neck's ground stays where it is. the 3 wires that already go to this compartment: orange, blue, white, represent N+, OUT, B+ respectively 4 configurations between the two pickup selector switches: neck up bridge down..............neck alone neck up bridge up..................neck and bridge in parallel bridge up neck down..............bridge alone bridge down neck down..........bridge and neck in series it's handy being able to switch phases in the series and parallel modes. i'd say it does something sorta similar to the treble-bleed, but more subtle and without thinning the sound. this is my first attempt creating my own wiring mod from scratch, after not finding a single one online. i would be thrilled to hear some suggestions or to be notified of glaring mistakes i've made. anyone know of similar mods floating around online? i'd love to see them...

It's quite incredible how many people have independently come up with this particular mod. I figured out this switching scheme, there's a thread on the forum about it, and now you've come up with it as well ;D It really is a logical arrangement though, which probably explains why its been parallel-engineered so often. Never heard of it used in a jaguar though, but the way you've done it makes perfect sense- you can get all the possible combinations of 2 single coil pickups without changing the appearance and without any new parts

Reveriesof- Hello and Welcome! What you've got there is called Binary Tree Switching 'round these parts. It's a neat arrangement, gives you all the combos without any dead positions. My in-the-works 4Caster uses a double binary tree arrangement to control 4 pickups.

aah, yes. i only googled jaguar mods (disheartening), it never occurred to me to search for a generic 3 switch / 2 pup schematic. to think i spent an hour agonizing over those 3 little switches (:
4caster looks gnarly newey, i'm a big fan of blenders. thanks for the info.
