So I have a SD '59 and a custom and am wanting to wire them into my rg470 (originally HSH, soon to be HH) I see one ibanez stock HH + 5way wiring is: neck neck parallel neck and bridge inner coils bridge which seems simple and versatile. as here: I found this schematic which is the same as above but with SD colour coding: but i read there is more than one ibanez 5ways and they function differently so i checked and I'm unsure whether those schem's are for my switch. my switch terminals: 1(neck end) 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (bridge) How my switch works: [ switch position. connections made 1 (neck pos.).......3+4,.........5+8 2.......................2+3+4,....5+7+8 3.......................2+4,.........5+7 4.......................1+2+4,.....5+6+7 5 (bridge pos.).....1+4,.........5+6 so the SD schem. with my switch in pos 4 would give: bridge black, neck red, vol pot, (and via the jumper) bridge red+white, neck green and earth are all connected. won't the fact the earth is connected make this pos. silent?
