I was looking at audio interfaces that support two high impedance (1 Meg Ohm) instrument channels that could possibly be used as a digital oscilloscope for audio. I noticed that MF has the Tapco Link.FireWire 4x6 Audio Interface for $99.99 (it just qualifies for free shipping). This product includes Mackie's Tracktion Music Production Software. I am unfamiliar with this. Can one actually get down to capturing/displaying/analyzing single cycles or small multiples of cycles of audio with this SW? In other words, will this interface work as a PC-based digital storage oscilloscope? I would presume that the inputs are AC coupled, so only AC information could be measured. Note that this has a 6 pin FireWire interface. For use with a laptop, a 4 pin to 6 pin transition cable must be used along with the included 12 VDC 1A wall wart.

Just curious, did you ever pursue this any further? I believe these folks tried it... Happy Trails Cynical One
