When does it make sense to use a revers audio taper pot for Tone in a guitar.

If you are using a pot to blend in another pickup in parallel, a reverse taper pot makes this much more usable. In this case, full blend-in occurs gradually up to "10". Using a regular audio taper pot, for reasonable gradual blending, requires the pot to be wired in backwards, with full blend-in occurring at "0". If you can't find a reverse taper pot, think and look again. After all, a blend Pan pot is both a normal taper and a reverse taper element on the same shaft.
