I was going to say that its all working.... but I have it partially fixed. The extra ground wire going to the volume is clipped and that allowed the phase to kick in but on one side of the switch( Phase) I am still getting a very weak tone in parallel and the middle ( coil cut ) seems to fine, but the series seems the same as coil cut. The other side of the phase is also very weak in the parallel, almost nothing in the coil cut and rocks in the series position. ?? Ange

I take my hat off to you guys who know how to figure this stuff out, and have the guts and wherewithall to wire it up. As always, I very much enjoy viewing your shielding and wiring, Ange. In addition to the sweet guitar reward for your persistence, +1

I'm pleased that this went well. I'm especially pleased that you were able to think your way thru things. This means that you truly "see" the signal flow, and not just the plumbing. I hope that this build has given you a firm hold on the modular approach to and vision of things (I do indeed believe that it has). With such a "relativistic" perspective on the inherent modularity of guitar wiring (we only ground and terminate at the ends of modules - or oft unfortunately, usually when convenient), little is impossible, and many complex wiring schemes become obvious. That is a curse though, because explaining oneself is often the real problem..... You do wonderful work and are a true craftsman. I'm glad to have been able to help. I deeply admire your courage; after all, I'm just making this stuff up as I go along. ;D ( Hmmm, I must have have taken piano lessons....) Rev. Jim - Taxi

Did you make the cab for the amp yourself? Nice joinery work there!
And I see 4 jacks on top- 2 inputs and an effects loop, perhaps?
Both are sweet builds. You're now our resident Dano guy!

Yes, I made the cab, the chassis is from Mission Amps, standard 5E3 build. The curse of perfectionism is that one sees all the little mistakes, yet at this stage of things I can live with it and try to improve as I move forward. See the metal box on the floor? That's an air-brake I built and its a great device. I can crank the Deluxe to 11 or 12 and still play at lowered volume with all the great tone on expects from this amp. The mismatch of impedance on the Dano-pickups and the HB is an issue on this build. I may try an alternate pick-guard loaded with Seymour Duncan pickups at some point that have a better balance. Still, this guitar was basically " junk " that was not being used.... except for the nice Dano neck, all the rest were components that were sitting around in either poor shape or not being used. So I am quite happy with the experiment and the opportunity to learn a bit.
Cheers Ange

Given the imbalance of the Dano pups and the HB, I began a private query with newey and chrisk, regarding the implementation of a switch that would allow the two Dano pups (N&M ), to be toggled in series or parallel. So as I do some research on this, I sure could use some suggestions as to an easy solution, if it exists. I would love to keep things pretty much as they are and work another dpdt into the mix.
best Ange
Any ideas guys

I also mis-labeled the SPDT switch as a SPST in earlier graphics. Sloppy work, I must watch that. I believe this now works to toggle either a neck on or N & M in series.
