gonna try out the callaham bridge plate on a strat as well as their great bridge. Question is, the plate has some blue tape on the underside, it calls for a bit of silicon adhesive to secure the plate ( in addition to the magnetic force ).... not sure if I should take that blue tape off or leave it on.... its painters tape and done pretty neatly. Also, it requires grounding the plate, which can be done right at the pickup, or, I think I read somewhere that chrisk suggested running a separate ground wire to the star ground. Does it matter where this plate gets grounded??
Thanks chrisk, whats your take on these devices?? Have you ever tried one. I now have it in and it does boost the mids and lows but at the expense of the higher freqs, but I can bring some of that back with the amp. I did ground it as recommended by callaham, seems to help this strat quiet up a little.
Oh BTW the bridge is super.
