I put together an Esquire with a lil 59er in the bridge. I followed the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram that called for 250k pots.
Played it for about 6 months this way, worked well but sounded a little dull/flat to me.
So... I changed the to volume pot to a 500k and wired it up the same way. It now sounds much better, but the volume pot does not reduce the volume down all the way.
Any ideas what I screwed up on this one...lol.
All comments and help appreciated!

Dave, One terminal of the volume pot is not properly grounded. It may look like it is, but t'ain't necessarily so. I suspect your soldering skills went out back for a smoke, when they should've remained on the job for a few more minutes. sumgai
