Hi, I built a Stratto/Dano a while back and used 500k pots for tone and volume, if i want to bring the treble down some, aside from swapping out to 250k pots, can I add anything cap or resistor wise bring the highs down.

Do you play with all knobs at 10? I admit, I normally do, but when somebody comments that I'm sounding shrill or icepickish, I will turn down my knobs. At least it seems to work in my mind... I prefer to play at about 7-8, and if I solo, kick it into my dirty channel, and bump up the volume to 10 (my clean channel is louder, but sounds shrill when I play upper notes. I usually put the gain to about 2-5 on my dirty channel, because it sounds like it belongs with my rhythm playing on clean.)
I hope this helps?
EDIT: HA! something I can actually give advise on! And first reply too! Thank you for the question, angelo. It makes me feel like more than a leech

wannastrat's idea is great, and bears consideration.
The answer to your question, though, is YES.
A resistor could go either in series or parallel with the output singal. The cap would want to go in parallel. You could also put an inductor in series.
Preferences and possible values will probably follow soon, though you could play around with John's Frequency Calculator for some ideas.
PS - a resistor or cap fits pretty neatly inside the barrel of a 1/4" plug.
