Hey folks, I haven't been around for a while but trust things have been doing Just Fine without me. ;D I have done a bit of searching, have found too much to go through in the short amount of time, so hope you can help point me in the right direction. Hopefully there is an older thread that answers my questions but I can't find it. I have a StewMac SuperSwitch that I want to put into my standard Strat (3 SC, 1Volume, 2Tone). While I can entertain a push/pull pot in the future, I want to add the SuperSwitch only for now. I have read here that I cannot do parallel and series using this switch alone. (If that is true, how can the MR get All 3 +, and all 3 * with the second switch engaged??) What I would like, short-term, are: Neck Neck + Middle Neck + Bridge Bridge + Middle Bridge In the future, I would like to flip the switch and get: Neck * Middle Neck * Bridge Bridge * Middle All three * ?? What I would really like is the stock wiring in the down position, and these in the up position, not necessarily in this order: Neck * Middle Neck * Bridge All three * Bridge * Middle Neck + Bridge I had the deaf guy's special going there for a while and really liked the Tele Neck + Bridge plus the series HB tones. The rotary switch was a bit confining so want to simplify the wiring. Oh - by the way, did I mention I am gigging tomorrow night?

welcome back. Why dont you just do the MR mod, but hard wiring the mode switch connections to get your first group of selections, until you add a switch later?
But if this is your gigging guitar for tomorrow, and you dont have a backup, and unless it does not work at all right now, then Id say this is the wrong day to mod it!

Hey, John,
Thanks for the (re-)welcome.
This is not my only guitar; I was actually going to play the Casino tomorrow night then got the bug!
I also thought to go to guitarnuts and re-stumbled upon the S-Tastic. I had remembered reading somewhere a long time ago about a mod that included fading one pickup in and out with the others by using a dedicated pot. I should have known it was directly related to this forum.
A half-done MR or the S-Tastic sound easy enough.
Thanks again.
