Hi there...
perhaps a question for JohnH...but feel free...
Have an LP in the works, ready for wiring...may need to get a few pointers on the details there in time...
I have installed a khaler after the success on my tele and while had things apart and installing 4 wire HBs...I installed a piezo on the wood in the trem cavity...so right under the bridge.
I was thinking of using something like the PreCHAmp kits that I have had success with before.
So, the question is, would this be ok to mix with the mag pickups or do they also have to go through some active electronics?
My thoughts were also to use a push pull to activate the piezo with perhaps just a preset volume...but I guess I could get trickier...I don't want to add any additional toggles than the selector itself, but could have up to 4 push pulls if wanted (might install them anyway regardless of use at first)
Any thoughts...

John indicated that he thought it worked best with both the piezo and the mag pups going through an active buffer before being blended together. The circuit he details in his post has separate preamp/buffer stages for each.
Listening to the sound clips he posted backs that up. There's too much of a mismatch for effective blending without the mag pups being buffered.
