I'm going to try the instructions for shielding on guitarnuts, and I'm wondering about what ring terminals to use. The instructions seem to require one large and small. If I look at the site below, it's not clear what to get: www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/d155.htmlThanks!

Riyacht- Hello and Welcome! The large ring terminal is specified to be large enough to slip over the shaft of a pot, so as to make contact with the shielding. The 10-gauge size has holes that big. Standard 1/4" shaft pots have a 3/8" threaded collar (at least, that's my recollection), so the hole in the ring terminal has to be at least that size- and a bit larger, in fact, since a 3/8" ID hole is mating with a 3/8" OD pot. The next size up is 1/2", I don't think there's a 7/16" one. Although a bit of attention with a rat-tail file will get a 3/8" to fit. The smaller one is just serving as a grounding point, it just needs to be big enough to solder all the ground connections onto.
