And we have schemes that use those Grayhill sealed mil-spec rotaries: ChrisK's PRS Rotobucker. Notice the size of the US quarter next to the switches for scale. You're probably not going to get one of the 12-pole versions into any solid-bodied guitar- but fortunately, these adapt to different configurations, and 4 poles is all you really need. A bit on the pricey side, however . . .
