Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew if the stock wiring of a Gibson Les Paul contains ground loops. If so, does anyone have a wiring diagram that I could use that gets rid of these loops? Thanks.

OK, that's it. Kyle, you just wasted a bunch of internet-phobic electrons to wake up a topic that's been dead for more than 4½ bleeping years!!! What in Gawd's name were you doing that far back in the Archives.... did you get lost again? Oh wait, no one's ever found you in the first place, they can't be bothered to look for you in any event. Which makes you sort of permanently lost, doesn't it? Ah, how I wish it always so. [glow=red,2,300]AAARRRGGGHHH!!![/glow] newey, do we keep this guy around or what? Granted, he gives cynical1 some much-needed stress relief, but come on, 55 months.... I don't think the Kyle-headed bozone-worshipper deserves this kinda recognition, do you? sumgai, The Under Assistant West Coast Administration Man

Smiiite I had to do it. I have an Epi Special II a friend gave me to fix a tuner peg. Along the way I discovered a misplaced shim under the neck, removed it, and now I don't want to give it back. I decided to take a peek at the non-shielded wiring that's a little noisy. It's the first look I've had at a guitar with two pups and a switch other than here. Thanks Kyle, I was fixin' to research this when I saw this post. Best laugh I've had all week ;D

[cue dramatic / patriotic themed sermon music]I feel that I should stand up for my own poor self - you know, be a man, as it were - and fumigate you with my wisdumb. As Lilo once said, and Stitch - I believe - seconded, too, "Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten." Nobody gets left behind ... those are powerful words ... ... even when spoken by an animated child whose older sister is a pre-cursor of the fact that the child will very likely have an abnormally large bottom within a few short years ... but I digest ... actually, maybe if the older sister had digested a little more ... there I go digesting again ... ... hmm, when you stop and think about it, if I digested less ... maybe I'd have less ... Anyway, if we ... here ... at GN2 ... if we ... can't be there for each and every person that shows up on this good forum ... well, who are we? WHO ARE WEEEEE!? No person should have to wait longer than, mmmm, five years to get a response ... if we, an important and respected resource on the net, can't respond to every person within five years - no matter who they are, what they need, why they're here, or where they're from - then we have failed them. If some lady named Anna, inquiring about antennae, because she needs an answa ... whether she's inquiring from Ghana or Georgiana, Alabama ... well, OHANA! Ohana! Can I get an eh, men!? Five years! Great goodness almighty, can I get an ahyahyuyah ... shoot, never could splel that oen ... Can I get ANOTHER eh, men!? Remember, it's YOUR faith ... in ME ... that keeps me going, eh? Great Goodness Bless You All. Eh, men. Peace. Surf Music and stuff. [/ cue dramatic / patriotic themed sermon music]kely

Ya know, I do believe I'm gonna have to Exalt the little bugger.
Not because he tugged at me heartstrings, but because he invoked the Surf Gawds! Whether by accident or divine providence, he did the only right thing possible to stay my hand.
But of course, I can't speak for the rest of you........

Well, Kyle, since you resurrected a 5 year old thread without answering the poor guys question, he's still waiting! Both your syntax and your spelling seem to improve dramatically when you are waxing philosophical. And while a backhanded surf reference may placate SG, there ain't no surf where I live. You have been warned. ;D ;D ;D Oh, and one more thing- SMMIITTEE!!!!!
