i've posted the standard wiring diagram for the strat 5way blade because i've seen quite a few how do i wire a strat switch posts and in an effort to help out and cut down on that same question being posted 50 million times, here ya go... and good luck. ;D

brief explanation: there are some ppl without knoledge on the subject who think that the 2&4 positions have to be manually wired.. This is untrue for a standard 5way(DP5T)blade switch. There are only 3 contact terminals in the standard 5way switch, with a flat 'blade' (hence the name) that moves over them to make a connection. This blade is wide enough that when in positions 2 or 4 it touches not 1 but 2 terminals creating the combonation of the 2 pickups in either position...

The ''ONLY'' times you will ''EVER'' have to manually wire positions 2&4 for a 2 pickup combination is when either of a, DP5T, 4P5T, or DP6T, 4P6T rotary switches are being used, or a mega or super 5way switch. not the standard
